I Love Mud!

Upcycling Before Recycling

Our idea for this final month of the school year was to bring recyclable materials to the preschool in place of toys, letting each child’s creative imagination run wild.

We had no idea how many benefits this would have. Besides being lots of fun, the children have gained skills such as problem-solving, creativity, curiosity and so much more. We look forward to the adventures to come these next few weeks!

Freddie Fruits and Veggies!

We finished our nutrition course here at the preschool with our friend Freddie Fruits and Vegetables. We did this in various ways, such as making art with fruits & veggies, cooking applesauce, making carrots and lemon, eating some lemons (then turning them into lemonade for improved taste!), and finally planting some veggies in the garden that we will check on after Spring Break!

Pink Shirt Day

We had a surprise thanks to our wonderful BMP mom, with LOTS of pink in support of anti-bullying efforts!

What a Field Trip!

Thanks to our BMP parent police officer who not only educated the children on all things safety related, but also demonstrated some cool gear that was a big hit with the children. A great experience for all!

Fresh Snow Fun!

Freshly fallen snow always gives us an opportunity for science (inside the school and out!), along with a whole lot of fun!

Solid to Liquid

We first mixed corn starch with water, followed by the children wondering what would occur if we added a few drops of food colouring to the mix. We left the food colouring corn starch mix until our next day of school, and this was the result!

SHADOWS

The children were measuring shadows when we were returning from the park, so we continued the discovery in the classroom!

NUMBERS

I just LOVE numbers!
