A Gift From an Older Friend

We got a beautiful new car mat from our friend who has now graduated to kindergarten and no longer uses it. Thank you so much, you know who you are!

“Look At My Window!”

The start of school year excitement is in full swing, especially in the block building area. One of the children at Burke Mountain Preschool built a very special window, proudly showing it off to his classmates!

Best Friends

These two have become fast friends and have already developed such a special bond!

The Greatest Chefs!

Such a fun-filled week at the Burke Mountain Preschool “I Am A Chef!”Camp. Tomorrow…Summer Fun begins!

Chef Camp in Full Swing!

The first day of the “I Am A Chef” camp has kicked off and what a day it was! It was so good to see both the younger and older children in the groups actively participating in the preparing, cooking, and of course the eating of the first food creation…PIZZA!

Very Special Little Seeds

“A little seed, for me to sow

  A little soil to make it grow;

     A little sun, a little shower,

       A little wait—

         And then, the flower!”

Just like the words of the song, some of these children joined Burke Mountain Preschool as very special little seeds—some less than three years old! Then, with a little sun (and a little shower) they grew into such intelligent and beautiful flowers. The graduates are more than ready to take on Kindergarten, and will surely be missed here at preschool.

Congratulations everyone, a job well done!

Picture

In comparison to modern art galleries, it’s impossible to tell that this is the work of 3, 4, and 5 year olds. This was done without any instructions or examples, only the work of their imagination.
