Upcycling Before Recycling

Our idea for this final month of the school year was to bring recyclable materials to the preschool in place of toys, letting each child’s creative imagination run wild.

We had no idea how many benefits this would have. Besides being lots of fun, the children have gained skills such as problem-solving, creativity, curiosity and so much more. We look forward to the adventures to come these next few weeks!

Imaginative Creations

Freddie Fruits and Veggies!

We finished our nutrition course here at the preschool with our friend Freddie Fruits and Vegetables. We did this in various ways, such as making art with fruits & veggies, cooking applesauce, making carrots and lemon, eating some lemons (then turning them into lemonade for improved taste!), and finally planting some veggies in the garden that we will check on after Spring Break!

Pink Shirt Day

We had a surprise thanks to our wonderful BMP mom, with LOTS of pink in support of anti-bullying efforts!

Fresh Snow Fun!

Freshly fallen snow always gives us an opportunity for science (inside the school and out!), along with a whole lot of fun!

Lunar New Year Celebrations!

We had a wonderful Lunar New Year celebration thanks to a former BMP mom who brought a storytelling dragon to share about the new year. More exciting for the children was when the dragon gave each of them a lucky red envelope with a treat!

SHADOWS

The children were measuring shadows when we were returning from the park, so we continued the discovery in the classroom!

Holiday Festivities

As with every holiday season, we were busy baking and building away to prepare for our Christmas concert with Mr. I and the Rainbow Singers, and what a celebration it was!

Merry Christmas to all, and best wishes in the New Year. See you all in 2019!

NUMBERS

I just LOVE numbers!

Pumpkins!

We skipped the typical pumpkin carving activity and spruced up the pumpkins our way!
